I'm Dave, a Senior Product Designer from the Chicago, IL area.
My interest in design started with a dial-up modem. Like a lot of kids growing up in the 90s, I was fascinated by the internet: a place where you could learn something new, talk to people, and share what you love. A stranger online was generous enough to teach me HTML, I built my first Pokémon fan site on GeoCities, and that curiosity never really went away.
Today I bring that curiosity to complex software. Eight years designing B2B platforms, internal tools, and customer-facing products has taught me I like work with more going on under the surface: messy data, complicated workflows, and systems that have to hold together in the real world.
My process is straightforward: I work closely with stakeholders to get the constraints on the table before jumping to screens. The goal is a product that's clear, useful, and practical for the people who rely on it most.
